I have lived in Hermitage since 1962 – moving from Somerset as a toddler, with my family of 7.

My parents were very community minded, and I followed in my father’s footsteps (he was chair of the Village Hall in the late 60’s amongst other clubs) and joined the committee in 1992 after an Extraordinary General Meeting plea for new members and have been secretary for many of those years. 

I have actively been involved in the fundraising for nearly 30 years, as well as running a youth club in the hall in the late 90’s. I enjoy putting on events for the community, and love the possibility of new ideas, and using the hall as a venue for events we have not done yet! Looking forward to finishing the hall getting these ideas into fruition.
